Tonight, we ordered the wiring harness and replacement seat cushions for the driver’s and passenger’s seats as well as two replacement tail lights. I really only needed one, but figured I’d prefer them to match. I found the parts we’ll need to replace the seals around all of the windows but haven’t purchased those just yet. We also ordered the actual vehicle manual, not just the “guide for the complete idiot” that we originally bought. Both will come in handy.

Hubby found some brand new tires for a decent price and we decided we’ll clean and repaint the existing rims rather than risk a different rim size “maybe” fitting (this was a recommendation he saw on a common VW site for replacement parts, lol).

We’re using a rare kid-free and “home from the bakery before 7” night watching restoration videos for a 1970 bus. Not a fancy night on the town, but it’ll do just fine. I asked if he wanted to video tape our restoration process. That was a definite “no”. Probably for the best, there will likely be plenty of bad words said by all parties involved! 🤣

I’m so thankful that my hubby supported my crazy dream of owning a VW bus and I’m happy that he’s at least smiling as he’s shaking his head at me!
